We get it, we’ve been there before and now Rhymefest puts the police on BLAST for their disrespectful treatment of an innocent black man on the flip…
WTF? When are cops going to realize that they are here to protect and serve. We don’t blame Rhymefest for video taping with his phone, because police these days tend to be untrustworthy.
Yes, we are all scared of cops!
Rhymefest tried to explain to the cops at his local police station that he was sitting in his parked car when a young male hopped in, whipped out his gun, and demanded his wallet, which the MC promptly handed over.
Instead of listening to him, the police told him to vacate the station. All he was trying to do was file a report to capture the criminal. Instead he was treated like a criminal.
Good going police. We see how you care.
Fest was initially turned away by cops before he could detail the nature of the crime. He wrote beside video footage of his rude encounter:
“You wonder why we don’t report crimes?…The police treated me disgustingly.”

The Chicago Police Department communications director Anthony Guglielmi has since issued an apology to Rhymefest for the officers’ behaviour, but the star wants to take the opportunity further and use his experience to help authorities establish how to “better police” local communities.
Things NEED to change!
The civil rights activist took to social media to address the youngster, stating:
“You don’t know how you just damaged your community.”
“It’s 7:30 a.m. You just put a gun in my face for $3 in my wallet. I defend you against police brutality, I work on your behalf, you robbed me.”
The rapper then showed his forgiveness to the unidentified robber, urging him to reach out to discuss the matter at length to see how Smith could help:
“When you look in my Wallet & see the name Che Smith on the ID. DM (direct message) me, yes contact me apologize and talk to me like a brother.”
Rhymefest is still trying to be the bigger person in all of this. We hope to hear that there is a resolution and the robber is NOT a person with no cares.
Someone who doesn’t care is dangerous to us all!
