(CelebNMusic247-News) Reigning UFC Champ Jon Jones Goes Off on Twitter
Reigning UFC light heavyweight champ Jon Jones was on the defensive on Wednesday night following Teixeira’s first-round knockout win over RyanBader at UFC Fight Night 28 in BeloHorizonte, Brazil.
In several posts on Twitter, Jon Jones lashed out at fans for being illogical and overreacting to Teixeira’s performance. Jones compared Teixeira to a slightly better version of Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.
Dang?

While on Wednesday night, taking out Ryan Bader by TKO in the first round. The win notched him a shot at the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship, and he’ll take on the winner of the Jon Jones-Alexander Gustafsson bout at UFC 165.
Teixeira wants to fight the current, long-reigning Champion, and believes that it’s the fight he’ll get when Jones defeats Gustafsson in Toronto later this month.
“My dream is to get the belt, but I believe Jon Jones will win [at UFC 165,” Teixeira said after the UFC Fight Night 28 event (transcribed by MMAJunkie.com). “That’s the way I see it, and I definitely prefer to fight him, in a certain manner because Jon Jones has a better name. He’s been a champ for a long time, so whoever goes to face him has to be very focused, very well-trained.”
Teixeira thinks he’s that man, and believes he can take Jones out when the two of them eventually meet in the cage.
Teixeira said:
“The knockout power, I believe I have it, and if I hit him, he’s going to go down.”
