Red Hot Chili Peppers Host Silverlake Conservatory of Music Gala!!!

Friday night its all going down in Silverlake since Flea And Anthony Kiedis of the Red Hot Chili Peppers Host Silverlake Conservatory of Music Gala.

If you know the Red Hots, then you know that the guys of the Red Hot Chili Peppers have long been supporters of music education, with bassist Flea going so far as to help in establishing the Silverlake Conservatory of Music. Red Hots frontman Anthony Kiedis serves on the Board of Directors with Flea for the organization.

If you are in the Silverlake area this weekend (October 17), then you’re in luck because both musicians will be heading up an exclusive dinner gala and auction to assist the Conservatory in its future efforts.

CelebNMusic247.com has the details as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Flea And Anthony Kedis To Host Silverlake Conservatory of Music Gala taking place Saturday night:

The event will be hosted at an undisclosed location where 300 guests will be treated to a night filled with music and art. Soulful artist John Legend will headline the music festivities, while jazz legend Kamasi Washington is also among those playing during the evening. And, Red Hot Chili Peppers will also provide a special acoustic performance for those in attendance.

In addition, there will be a silent auction taking place with a number of artists providing items to be auctioned off. Among those who have pieces entered are Damien Hirst, Shepard Fairey, Gus Van Sant, Bernie Taupin and the late Dennis Hopper among others.

The Silverlake Conservatory of Music was established in 2001 to help in filling the cultural landscape of the Los Angeles area. Students are allowed to study music with exceptional teachers at a reasonable price and scholarships are granted to families who may not otherwise be able to afford lessons and instruments.
