It was said that Rebel was NOT 29, but indeed 35-years of age, because she fudged her age to be young enough to land movie roles.

On Monday, Australian publication Woman’s Day ran a story claiming Rebel Wilson has been lying about both her age and the story of her upbringing.

According to an unnamed source, who told the Aussie mag she studied with Wilson at Tara Anglican School for Girls in North Parramatta, Sydney.

Wilson’s real name is Melanie Elizabeth Bownds and she’s actually 36 — not 29. “She was born in 1979 and we left school in 1997,” the source told Woman’s Day.

This same source also claims Wilson’s lying about her childhood. Wilson’s said in the past that her family is the “Australian version of Honey Boo Boo.”

She added that her family was “quite feral.” But, this source says the Pitch Perfect 2 actress grew up in a “very normal, upper-middle-class” surrounding, suggesting that Wilson created the wild story for Hollywood’s purposes.

Wow, that sounds like a REAL HATER. We don’t care about Rebel’s personal past, she makes us laugh onscreen and she is living her dream. Maybe her former friend should do the same thing.

The RUMORS and ACCUSATIONS against Rebel didn’t go unnoticed.

The RUMORS continue for Rebel after the Pitch Perfect actress recently stepped out to enjoy a New York Rangers game with comedian Mickey Gooch Jr. at Madison Square Garden, posting a number of photos on her various social media handles from the game of the pair rocking their matching jerseys.

Us Weekly reports the duo, who met through mutual friends, are actually dating. “They get along really well, they respect each other’s work,” a source tells them. “She’s been too busy to date for awhile, they’ve been texting often and they’ve been spending some time together in L.A. and New York.”

E! News reached out to Wilson’s rep for comment.

She told Australia’s Elle magazine earlier this month when asked about her love life:

“You have to sacrifice relationships because you work, and now I travel all around the world.”

“I’m constantly moving and constantly travelling and so it’s really hard to maintain a relationship in that kind of environment.”
