Yes its true, The Views newbie Raven-Symoné Back Peddles Ghetto Names Comment with a public apology for her latest statements mocking the black community.

Raven always speaks her mind, but sometimes she forgets her position as a celebrity and how influential she is these days. CelebNMusic247.com has these details via SandraRose.

On Sunday, Raven-Symoné wrote in a Facebook Backpedaling on her Ghetto Names Comment!

She writes:

“My comments about discrimination have spun out of control.”

“I’d like to begin by saying that I was not attacking a specific race, but repeating a name that was said in a viral video which has received over two million likes.”

Raven-Symoné was referring to a segment on ABC’s The View in which she and her co-hosts commented on a viral social media video of the most “ghetto-sounding” names.  What people don’t realize is that Raven was weighing in on a study that shows Americans tend to discriminate against people with “ghetto-sounding” names.

While on The View the 29-year-old mixed race conservative used her personal experiences in life when she spoke her mind, saying:

“I am very discriminatory against words like the ones that they were saying in the video.”

“I’??m not about to hire you if your name is Watermelondrea. It’??s just not going to happen. I?’m not going to hire you.”

Here is what Raven-Symoné father had to say about his daughter’s Ghetto Names Comment!

The openly gay actress is a constant target of liberal social media users due to her insensitive statements about race.  Her apology came after her father and former manager, Christopher B. Pearman, said:

Raven sometimes says “dumb S#%T!” to get attention writing on Facebook saying:

“Children grow up and become influenced by many things, situations and people.”

“I certainly don’t agree with what she said….but she is damn near 30 years old. She’s a grown a** woman making grown a** mistakes. We all have been guilty of this.”

He added:

“Raven is a really Beautiful, Sweethearted, Human Being. I should know. Her Mother and I Love her Very much and will always support her and have her back,” Pearman continued. “Even if sometimes………. she says some dumb S#%T!”

There you have it straight from Raven and her father.
