Rapper Jeezy Makes Tech Moves Investing in Cell Phone Company

Atlanta rapper Jeezy (Jay Wayne Jenkins), 41, has teamed up with Freddie Figgers, who founded Figgers Communication, to launch F-Buds earbuds.

According to Jeezy, the cell phone is set to retail for $449 and the earbuds $49.

Jeezy in a press statement:

There was a point in my life where I wasn’t able to pay the phone bill. Now as a businessman and entrepreneur to be able to partner with Freddie, someone who overcame similar life obstacles, and to give people more access to handheld technology at an affordable price, it’s truly a blessing.

Who is Freddie Figgers?

As for Figgers, who’s already created a multi-million dollar communications company at age 29, he said working with Jeezy was a no-brainer. Plus, he feels it’s crucial that everyone be able to afford a cellphone regardless of their budget.
