Mr. Worldwide is here! It was announced this week that Jennifer Lopez and Shakira will be headlining Super Bowl 2020, but now Pitbull is reportedly negotiating with J.Lo and the NFL right now.
According to reports that Pitbull is reportedly in talks with the NFL for some type of cameo spot or guest appearance during this year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show! Continue on…
CelebNMusic247.com reports that an insider with knowledge about the negotiations says that Pitbull’s team has had “recent talks” with J.Lo and the NFL about doing a guest appearance.
We got this tip from Perez who says Pitbull is gunning for a guest spot for the Latin fueled halftime:
Basically, all of those involved are apparently very aware of the need to have an authentic Miami artist in the stadium at some point during the halftime show — and it has reportedly come down to Pitbull or Gloria Estefan. Also, for what it’s worth, Estefan already has two Super Bowls under her belt: 1992 in Minneapolis, and 1999 in Miami.
According to insiders with knowledge about the negotiations who spoke this weekend to TMZ, the Miami-based superstar is reportedly in talks with the NFL crew after fans started buzzing about his inclusion — especially considering the game is taking place at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami! Sources
Apparently this is Jay Z and Roc Nations attempt t bring awareness to the NFL with a complete Latino lineup. In addition to Shakira and J.Lo, Roc Nation and the folks producing the halftime show alongside the NFL have teased other “surprise acts” will definitely appear on stage. So it makes sense getting somebody like Pitbull for a show in Miami would make a lot of sense.
However, there is no deal yet, but sources say public momentum is really driving this one. It appears that the NFL and Roc Nation are both acutely aware of the fans’ desire to make room for a Miami artist.
We will see how this plays out.
Nobody wants another year like last with snooze fest Maroon 5.
