How to Pick Out a Breakout Indie Artist?

This year there are so many indie artist in the music industry that are completely worth listening too, but what makes and Indie artist pop?

CelebNMusic247.com has many indie artists that we feel have lots of talent this year. With week one of Coachella down there were some breakout moments at the festival like Chance the Rapper. Chance ripped it on stage and even brought out his homie Justin Bieber as his hype man. Chance nabbed our attention early on with his free self-released mixtapes 10 Day and Acid Rap. He continues to shine as an upcoming breakout Indie artist with his unique approach on hip hop music with his own spin of Acid rap. Although there is plenty of new indie music to choose from like NoNoNo from Sweden with their college favorite hit “Pumpin Blood” or Mikky Echo’s smash hit “Stay” that features Rihanna. The talent doesn’t stop there for us, because there is other groups that has nabbed our attention like Cloud Nothings, who was the standout at the SXSW Festival or the atmospheric synth pop group on the other side of the spectrum, Hearts who is similar to the style of Chvrches who rocked a killer set at week one of Coachella.

What makes one say, that’s the one I’m betting on for Indie artist of 2014?

Well it’s actually a combination of things, so we’re breaking it down in bullets:

–          We would have to say it is all about originality

–          Likeability

–          Lyrical skill

–          The beat which plays a big part in music

–          Style, form and overall feel

–          Presence

–          Personality

–          How they perform live

When you combine all these talents together it seems like a lot and could almost be impossible to comprehend, but breakout artists and their talent should shine through. Nobody want to see an Ashlee Simpson lip sync fiasco with a breakout artist.

To us it’s all about watching the artist live. That is the real test of who has natural talent and who’s a studio band. Most all breakout indie artist have longevity and without that they’re nothing. Their talent ends up being short lived and most of the time forgotten.

These are just a few of the things we notice when listening to music. Finding a new breakout artist can be difficult but a good place to find one is Accuradio when looking for new music.
