Pete Davidson SLAMS Chevy Chase Disrespecting SNL + Lorne Michaels

Pete Davidson takes aim at a very famous Saturday Night Live alum who helped pave the road for comedians like himself.

During his conversation with Howard Stern, Ariana Grande’s fiancé slammed Chevy Chase, dubbing him a racist. Read on to see what Pete Davidson said…

Pete Davidson SLAMS Chevy Chase Disrespecting SNL + Lorne MichaelsCelebNMusic247.com reports that Pete Davidson took offense to disparaging comments Chase made in a Washington Post profile about SNL.

Chevy Chase slammed the 44th seasons of SNL saying, “I don’t want to put down Lorne or the cast, but I’ll just say … I’m amazed that Lorne has gone so low.”

Chase, 73, told the Washington Post:

I had to watch a little of it, and I just couldn’t f—— believe it. That means a whole generation of s—heads laughs at the worst f—— humor in the world. You know what I mean? How could you dare give that generation worse s— than they already have in their lives? It just drives me nuts.

Chevy insulted Pete Davidson when his interview went on to name-checked Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Kristen Wiig and Eddie Murphy calling them unfunny. The only SNL member Chase liked was Kristen Wiig saying:

She had two things going for her. She had clear-cut chops, and she was pretty, too. But what happened to her? Where did she go?

Wiig is currently filming Wonder Woman 1984, Chevy.

Anyways, an offended Davidson said this of the 74-year-old actor:

He’s a f— d—bag. F— Chevy Chase. He’s just a genuinely bad, racist person and I don’t like him. He’s a putz!

Davidson, who did not ever share the SNL stage with Chase added:

It’s disrespectful to Lorne, too, a guy who gave you a career. No matter how big you get, you can’t forget what that guy did for you.

The humor has changed over the years on SNL, and to be honest not everything Chase did was funny in the 70s. What we will say is that SNL could be much funnier if they chose some other topics, but they’re doing what works. We just need another sketch comedy show like Fridays or In Living Color back in the day.

No offense to Chevy Chase but he is speaking his truth, he is and always will be an SNL OG. Sorry, Pete, that’s just how it is.

Pete also spoke about receiving death threats for being engaged to Ariana…
