Northfield PD Issues Statement for Chief Keef Shooting

Earlier this morning in Chicago, rapper Chief Keef was involved in a shooting that put one person in the hospital.

CelebNMusic247.com reported on the shooting and the fact that Keef’s publicist who quickly said that Cozart, was present at the time but was not the shooter. Although details in regards to the shooting in Chicago, a press release from the Northfield Police Department explains that they will be working with the North Regional Major Crimes Task Force and the Cook County State’s Attorney‘s office on investigating the shooting.

The Chief Keef shooting took place in the 800 block of North Happ Road of Chicago, Illinois. There are some facts that still await to be varified, but  the house where the incident took place was being rented by the rapper’s manager, according to WGN News.

CelebNMusic247.com has learned via REVOLT that Northfield PD said official information about the shooting will be made through a press release.

The official reports:

“The shooting appears to be an isolated incident and we believe the community is safe.”

The shooting victim remains at Skokie Hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.  The incident remains under investigation and access to the area will be limited through Friday (March 28). A Police Officer has been posted in the neighborhood to allow for local resident traffic on North Happ Road.

This incident comes just days after the 18-year-old “F-ck Rehab” rapper was arrested and charged with DUI in Highland Park.

He will be arraigned on April 11 for that case, which all arrives as he recently finished off a 90-day rehab program in California. Earlier this year he was arrested for violating probation stemmed by his 2011 gun conviction.
