Norm Macdonald Speaks On Eddie Murphy

On Sunday night, SNL celebrated their 40th Anniversary and almost everyone was there to laugh the night away except for Eddie Murphy.

Apparently Eddie Murphy was excited to do the show and put his differences aside, but when he learned that he that he was supposed to mock Bill Cosby in the Celebrity jeopardy skit he bowed out.

Murphy felt it was wrong to mock Mr Cosby while his career has been dragged through the mud. Cosby applauded Murphy for his integrity NOT to do the skit, and now fellow SNL alumni Norm Macdonald is speaking out on the behind the scenes drama with Eddie Murphy and SNL.

Norm states that Eddie doesn’t NEED the laughs and that he respects his integrity by putting his foot down by saying “no way, no how…I’m NOT doing that.”

The big revelation that everyone is latching onto is that Eddie Murphy was supposed to appear in the “Celebrity Jeopardy” sketch as Bill Cosby, but that he backed out at the eleventh hour because he didn’t want to “kick a man when he was down”. (Kenan Thompson appeared as Cosby in the bit.)
