Nicki Minaj Sets Record Straight on Cardi B Feud Rumors

Nicki Minaj Responds to Cardi B Feud Rumors

We have all heard the story that Nicki Minaj was furious when “Motorsport” came out and Cardi B and Nicki Minaj were on the same track.

Well, Nicki is now addressing the rumors, so flip and get the tea spilling…

Nicki Minaj Responds to Cardi B Feud RumorsCelebNMusic247.com has caught wind that Nicki Minaj is setting the record straight on the “beef” with Cardi B.

During an interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 on Apple Music, Nicki Minaj shows love to Cardi B success. #MMMM

Though, the “Feeling Myself” rapper wasn’t too pleased with Cardi B’s negative comments she said about their collab “Motorsport.”

Minaj starts off explaining her feelings about Cardi B:

With Cardi B, she’s done exactly what she should have done – the only thing with Cardi that really, really hurt my feelings was the first interview she did after ‘Motorsport’ came out. I remember when I first came in the game, if a female of that stature had done a feature with me on it, I would only be singing their praises and saying thank-you.

We find that so interesting since she was rude to Lil Kim, who she stole most of her image and looks from. As well as other female rappers who have said that Nicki was extremely disrespectful behind the scenes. It seems the shoe is on the other foot, and Nicki Minaj isn’t feeling it.

She adds:

The first interview she did after ‘Motorsport’ came out, it just really hurt me because she looked so aggravated and angry and the only thing she kept saying was, ‘Oh, I didn’t hear that verse. I didn’t hear that verse. She changed her verse.’ I’m like, ‘What?’ I remember when I first did a song with Trina for the first time, that’s why to this day I love Trina.

As for, Migos rapper Quavo, Nicki had this to say about him:

I texted Quavo and was like, ‘Can you back me up on this’. I didn’t want people to think I was lying, what do I have to lie about? And he didn’t back me up. He texted me and was like, ‘I would go on Twitter and back you up if you were my girl. LOL.’ And that hurt because he’s somebody, I love him. There are certain rappers who I call my baby. Quavo. Weezy is my baby. Swae Lee is my baby. Quavo told me, ‘I’m not gonna go on Twitter and address that sh*t. If I do an interview, then I’ll address it.’ And I was like, ‘Yikes.’ It hurt my feelings to know that people would watch me be slaughtered and not one person will step in to tell the truth. They’ll run with that lie. They’ll allow people to run with the lie because it’s entertaining to let Nicki seem like a bad guy and it’s sad. Quavo texted me, I still have the text in my phone, first of all, Quavo came to my studio and played ‘Motorsport.’ He was the only person on ‘Motorsport.’ I said, ‘Oh that’s a hit. That’s out of here.’ He wanted me to get on a record called ‘For Keeps.’ I said, ‘No, please, please, let’s do ‘Motorsport.’ All the guys wanted to be on ‘Motorsport.’ I was like, ‘Alright.’ I knew that much because they were all working on their group album and he texted me and said is it OK to put Cardi on it. I still have the text on my phone where I said, ‘Yeah, let’s do it.’ And that’s the only story I told. You know, I said exactly how it came about and when it was time to clear the air about that, no one did that.

Bottom line, Minaj isn’t feeling newbie rapper, Cardi B, who broke iTunes streaming today with over 100 million streams crushing Taylor Swift’s record.

As for Nicki, she concludes by saying:

I have never seen her show me genuine love in an interview…..I just see how many girls wish they had been on a song with Nicki Minaj.

What are you r thoughts?
