CelebNMusic247.com has learned that Nicki Minaj had a bit of bad luck when her Beverly Hills mansion, nestled in a gated community, was ransacked over the weekend.
Here are the details on what happened to Nicki Minaj home while she was out of town.
Burglars reportedly made off with close to $200,000 worth of the rapper’s jewelry, but they didn’t stop at theft. Sources told the site that it seemed “personal,” as the burglars also destroyed and vandalized Minaj’s personal property, cutting up her clothes, smashing bottles of perfume, breaking picture frames and wrecking her furniture.
Thankfully, Minaj, 34, wasn’t home at the time of the incident. Police told TMZ that there are signs of forced entry and that they’re keeping an eye out for surveillance footage, but that no suspects have been named yet in the case.
Since the break in, Minaj is installing a security system that will includes cameras to cover the sprawling property. She’s also hiring 24/7 security guards who will stay on duty even when she’s out of town. Minaj wasn’t in L.A. when the crime was committed.
After the recent burglary, reports say the only cameras police could to investigate were street cams. It’s been speculated that the break and entry could have been personal. The burglars destroyed picture frames, clothing, and perfume bottles. There is no word yet on any suspects.
Neither the LAPD nor Minaj’s rep immediately returned for comment.
