(CelebNMusic247) Nicki Minaj Joining American Idol and Cancels Show
Nicki Minaj has reportedly been named the newest judge for the hit singing competition “American Idol.”
According to US Weekly, who is reporting that Minaj will ‘definitely’ be added to the show for its upcoming season. The details of Nicki’s are still pending, however.
A source revealed:
“I’m not sure the deal is completely done yet, but yes, she is definitely doing it.”
“A few more slight things to sign off on but it is happening.”
While another insider claims that Minaj is “100% confirmed to judge American Idol.” Minaj will join fellow show newcomer Mariah Carey who will be replacing previous judges Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler.
In other news, Nicki Minaj canceled her appearance at the United Kingdom’s V Festival over this past weekend.
According to the Young Money superstar’s representatives, Minaj was forced to pull out due to damage to her vocal cords.
She had also previously been advised to not perform at the free concert she gave last Wednesday (August 15th) at New York’s Roseland Ballroom.
The V Festival is a two-day festival that will also feature David Guetta, LMFAO, the Killers, and veteran act the Stone Roses.
