Parents time to keep an eye on your children when at Disneyland, because the theme parks are enforcing a new law for  youngsters under 14 years of age who enter the parks!

Here’s the drop:

All Disney theme parks in the U.S., including Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park, will soon require that youngsters entering the parks be accompanied by someone at least 14 years old.

The new admission policy takes effect March 23. Disney officials said the change was not made in response to a particular incident.

Disney’s admission policy has varied from park to park and Disneyland spokeswoman Suzi Brown said the company decided to adopt a consistent policy throughout its theme parks.

Disney chose the age of 14 for several reasons, Brown said. For example, children under the age of 7 must now be accompanied by a guest at least 14 years old to ride an attraction in the parks.

Also, the Red Cross has recommended that the minimum age to be a babysitter is 14, she said.

“We regularly review all of our policies and identified an opportunity to provide a consistent age of admission and address a question we occasionally get from parents,” Brown said.

Personally, its needed because there are too many kids running lose around the park without supervision these days and its not only annoying but dangerous.
