A&E has released a new teaser and poster for its upcoming Psycho prequel series Bates Motel.

The series that is a prequel to the movie franchise adds a new dimension of terror in the world of Norman Bates and his mother.

The series  centers on the relationship between a young Norman Bates (Freddie Highmore) and his mother (Vera Farmiga).  This teaser trailer is the creepiest yet, unless you think sitting on a bed with your mother and staring ominously is normal behavior. Bates Motel comes from executive producers Carlton Cuse (Lost) and Kerry Ehrin (Friday Night Lights), so were sure it will be a sizzling hot series!

Here’s the synopsis for Bates Motel:

In “Bates Motel,” following the tragic death of her husband, Norma Bates buys a motel on the outskirts of the idyllic coastal town of White Pine Bay, seeking a fresh start. As Norma and Norman get ensconced in their new home, they discover this town isn’t quite what it seems, and the locals aren’t so quick to let them in on their secrets. But the Bates’ are done being pushed around and will do whatever it takes to survive – and will do whatever it takes to protect their own secrets.

The series also stars Nestor CarbonellMax ThieriotOlivia Cooke, and Mike Vogel.  Bates Motel premieres on A&E on March 18th.

  •  That is probably the creepiest 20 second trailer I’ve ever watched lol! I’m actually very excited for this show to air, especially because of Freddie Highmore. I think he’s going to do a great job, so I can’t wait to see how it turns out! I won’t actually be able to watch the live airings of this show because of my late work schedule at DISH, but I will make sure to set a recording timer for it on my DISH Hopper. I tend to miss all of the new shows I’m looking forward to because of my schedule, but luckily I now have the DVR room to record everything I want. I have 2,000 hours of entertainment I can store now, so I will still have plenty of room for this new show among all of the other shows I have set to record as well. 🙂
