Nas Brings True Hip Hop to Coachella

Day two of Coachella 2014 went out with a bang, as the legendary Nas tore down the stage with a memorable performance.

Nasty Nas brought out heavy weights  to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his classic album, Illmatic, performing the album in it’s entirety to kick off his set, with the crowd following along with every word.

Nas had his homie Jay Z to run through “Dead Presidents” and “Where I’m From.” The crowd went sild as Nas and Hov took you back to 1994. The prolific Nas didn’t stop there with the wind blown high and sand messing with his spittin on the mic Nas pushed through his set.

After Nas finished the illmatic 20th anniversary part of the show he came harder with more classic Nas bringing festival goers into a blissful drive through memory lane as Puff Daddy too the stage to perform “Made You Look,” “Hate Me Now.”

The fromer Bad Boy head and now Revolt TV head honcho who was in full force covering the event with his team of 35 peeps gave Nas his props on stage tell Coachella goers that without Nas, hip hop would not be were it is today. The Queensbridge rapper kept it ill on stage. He had minimal visuals and it didn’t matter because true artsits can hold a stage without the extras.

Nas kept it nasty and closed the set with “One Mic.”

Day 2 wasn’t just about Nas though he was one of the most aniticipated artists of the day. CelebNMusic247.com has our list of best performances and sorry Pharrell about the sand blasting that killed your voice bro – his live set was cool but despite the sand killing his voice Pharrell could sing and the set was a bit slow. The best part of Pharrell’s live set was ehen Diddy, Busta Rhymes and Snoop Dogg spit on the mic and his N.E.R.D. portion.
