The annual Governors Ball regularly features a diverse lineup of music’s most popular acts, notoriously short on rock and metal. While the 2017 lineup is no exception, focusing on rap, hip-hop, dance, pop, indie and more, rock / metal will get some bigtime notoriety with Tool booked as one of the headliners for the New York City fest, held between June 2 and 4. Cage the Elephant and Royal Blood will also be performing throughout the weekend.
Yes, we know Bonnaroo isn’t exactly a rock / metal festival, but in 2017 the Red Hot Chili Peppers will be bringing the rock to the otherwise indie, electronic and pop-centric fest. The band will be promoting 2016’s ‘The Getaway’ and will share the stage with the rockers in Cage the Elephant, Kaleo and Royal Blood over the course of the June 8 – 11 weekend in Manchester, Tenn.
FireFly is a unique festival because its out in the woodlands, so you have a full sense of camping. Long days and long nights off the grid enjoying great music from bands like The Weeknd, Muse, Chance The Rapper, Twenty One Pilots, Flume, Weezer, Bob Dylan, The Shins, Thirty Seconds to Mars and more. ACL Festival features a diverse lineup of acts every year with 8 stages, more than 110 bands – and now, two weekends. It’s going down at Zilker Park. It is one of the largest music festivals in the US and like Coachella ACL is now two weeks of greatness. The lineup for 2017 has not been revealed yet, but we expect it to be stellar.
