Fuerza Regida Tops Billboard Latin Awards With 8 Wins

Eight trophies, a Vanguard honor and a Miami night that belonged to regional Mexican music — Fuerza Regida owned the Billboard Latin stage.

Eight. That is the number the whole night bent around. Fuerza Regida topped the winners list at the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards in Miami on Thursday, Oct. 22, taking home eight trophies — more than any other act on the bill — in a ceremony that underlined just how central regional Mexican music now sits in Latin music’s mainstream.

The haul was not padding in minor categories. Per the winners coverage, Fuerza Regida collected the Billboard Vanguard Award alongside Top Latin Albums Artist of the Year, Duo or Group and Regional Mexican Artist of the Year, Duo or Group. Their hit “Marlboro Rojo” also won Regional Mexican Song of the Year, giving the group wins across artistry, albums, songs and a career-level honor in a single night.

A Vanguard Night, Not Just a Winning One

The Vanguard Award is the tell. Trophies for a song or an album reward a cycle; a Vanguard honor rewards a sound that moved the genre. For a group built on corridos to be framed that way by Billboard — on Latin music’s biggest televised night, in Miami — signals that the industry no longer treats regional Mexican as a regional story. It is the story, and Fuerza Regida is currently its loudest narrator.

Bad Bunny, Rosalía and Karol G Split the Rest

The night’s other headline winners spread the glory across Latin music’s biggest lanes. Bad Bunny won Artist of the Year, Tour of the Year, Global 200 Latin Artist of the Year and Latin Rhythm Artist of the Year, Solo — a reminder that even on someone else’s trophy night, his commercial gravity is unmatched.

Rosalía received the Hall of Fame Award and won Top Latin Pop Album of the Year for LUX, while Karol G won Fan Artist of the Year and Latin Pop Song of the Year for “Coleccionando Heridas,” her collaboration with Marco Antonio Solís. Top Latin Album of the Year went to Peso Pluma and Tito Double P for DINASTÍA — meaning regional Mexican acts did not just win Fuerza Regida’s categories; they took the album prize outright too.

Read the full list together and a shape emerges: pop, rhythm and regional Mexican all had a champion on the night, but only one act needed both hands to carry its trophies out. That act also left with the honor that says this is not a hot streak — it is a position.

The 247 Take — Eight wins plus a Vanguard Award is Billboard saying the quiet part out loud: Fuerza Regida is not riding the regional Mexican wave, they are one of the reasons it keeps getting bigger.
