R&B singer Monica and her NBA player Shannon Brown are the proud parents of their first baby girl!

Monica took to her instagram to announce the happy news that a few months ago and she also expressed how happy she and Shannon were to have their first child together on the way. In 2010, Monica fell in love and married NBA player Shannon Brown after a turbulent relationship with rapper Rocko who was rumored to have cheated on her during their whole relationship. Monica and Rocko have two boys together and this is her third child but first girl.

However, Monica didn’t let her pregnancy slow her down enough to miss the LudaDay activities that just wrapped up in Atlanta over the Labor Day weekend.

While hubby  Shannon took to his Instagram account to confirm that his wife gave birth to their daughter Laiyah just hours ago. He posted the following photo and writes in the caption:
