(CelebNMusic247-News) Love and Hip Hop LA Having Casting Drama
In 2012 we got and inside scoop that Love and Hip Hop LA was working on their prospective cast, but after news leaked LHHLA and LHHH (Love Hip Hop Houston) cast pulled out!
Mona Scott-Young was trying to figure out which Love and Hip Hop spin-off would draw more viewers and apparently she has gone with Los Angeles.
The only problem is the new cast doesn’t have a HUGE name to drive viewers to watch. Sources close to production tell us, they initially planned to attach Ray J as the headliner, but he’s currently tied up hosting “Bad Girls Club All-Stars” on Oxygen so he couldn’t sign on.
An inside told us Ray J, who wanted to join was unable due to the early leak, so now Young and her team of producers are scrambling to find a FACE for the new LHHLA spin-off.
Here’s the drop from a reliable source which confirms the Love and Hip Hop reveal in 2012:
“Love & Hip Hop” is moving to L.A. for its new spin-off — with episodes expected to start shooting later this month — but producers are now facing a HUGE problem … they can’t find a big name to star on it.
Now we’re told producers are scrambling to find someone else, but it’s proving more difficult than they anticipated … which is somewhat surprising, considering “Love & Hip Hop” is one of VH1’s highest-rated shows.
According to sources, producers will start by shooting storylines for the smaller stars who have already signed on, including singer Brooke Valentine, radio DJ Yesi Ortiz, rapper Hazel-E, and video vixen Bria Myles. We’re told producers have decided to worry about the bigger stars later.
Go ahead and feel free to say WHO, but just like Love and Hip Hop Atlanta and Love Hip Hop New York many viewer had no idea who Joseline Hernandez, Mimi Faust, Erica Mena, Erica Dixon, Erica Dean, and Tara Wallace were. Thanks to the LHH franchise they’re reality TV stars now.
We just hope that there are NO MORE Erica’s on the new spin-off.
