(CelebNMusic247-News)  Lil Scrappy Talks New Deal, Bambi, Erica, and LHHA

Lil Scrappy’s career is on fire!! The newly signed Chinga Chang Records and Sony Entertainment rapper opens up on music and Hip Hop.

The Hip-Hop Socialite recaps the hottest celebrity news and gossip of the last week, and drops a few exclusives

In addition to landing a new label partnership between his Gri$tle Gang Records, Chinga Chang Records and Sony Entertainment for his upcoming album Reparations, the Atlanta bred rapper is currently filming season 3 of Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta. Scrappy is also working on a new online talk show (more on that later).

Outside of his career, Scrappy devotes his time to working on his new relationship with former Basketball Wives: LA star Adiz Bambi, and raising his daughter with his ex and LHH co-star Erica Dixon.

During a recent phonecall, Scrappy and I spoke about his new album, his relationship with Bambi and the state of his relationship with Erica, his new talk show, and the upcoming new season of Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta.

Check out highlights from our talk below:

ON WHAT PRODUCERS HE’S WORKING WITH FOR HIS NEW ALBUM:

“Beethoven, Drumma Boy, K-Dash, which is an in house producer, I Key, which is an in house producer, ya’ll going to meet him, and a couple of other people. My dude Ray from Hot Beats, just a lot of people.”

ON HOW THE NEW ALBUM REFLECTS WHAT HE’S LEARNED IN THE INDUSTRY:

“Basically, I’ve learned that you’ve got to be hot to get hot people to mess with you. My whole time being down, nobody would to do a song with me, nobody would take me in when I reached out to them, everybody just sort of blackballed me and fade me out. They would always try to fade me out and diss me and do some crazy sh*t to where, you know what I’m saying, they was hoping nothing would every happen for me, and I won’t exist no more. But I have a higher power, which is God, that’s always going to bless me. With the TV joint, I put out my first independent album two years ago, well a year ago, a year or two years ago, when I did the first season of Love & Hip-Hop. So when it dropped [LHH], I put out an independent album right then that did alright, you know what I’m saying. So now, I’m back in it to put out an album with a major, and do it big.”

ON IF HE WILL ADDRESS THAT NO ONE WANTED TO DEAL WITH HIM WHEN HE WAS DOWN ON THE ALBUM:

“Definitely. On a song called ‘Reparations’ ’cause the album is called Reparations, I’m going to address all that on the song ‘Reparations’ because I want to put out there that I don’t forget sh*t. I forgive, but I don’t forget sh*t. And the only way I can forgive is to let it out through my music. Because I still be around these same people; these same people holler at me now, ‘what’s up?’ all that sh*t, but didn’t say none of that sh*t when I was down. N*ggas trying to treat me like, ‘he old’, and I’m younger than these n*ggas, you know what I’m saying. I’m still young, you feel me. I’m still in my twenties, you feel me.”

ON DOING THINGS THAT ARE POSITIVE AND HIS NEW TALK SHOW:

“I have made a change in my life, a change from negative to positive. I have a reality talk show that I’m doing called Keeping It 1K With Scrappy that’s coming out real soon online, and it’s soon to be picked up from [by] a network. That’s coming in December, so look out for that. I have a five man cast on that. It’s a talk show, not a walking around catching people live, but it’s a talk show talking about real stuff, real things that people are scared to address. My cast is Shanika from 107.9 ‘word on the street’, my godsister Faith Adorn, my lawyer Molly Davis, and my deejay. I also got a facilitation dude that’s going to be on there every other week. His name is Original. He’s going to keep people up on drugs, stuff you shouldn’t do, how you can get off of it, stay off of it. It’s just some positive stuff, and we going to touch every thing negative and positive, but keep that sh*t all the way real. It’s going to be Keeping It 1K With Scrappy; it’s got its own website.”

ON HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH HIS EX, ERICA DIXON:

“It’s ain’t no friends, you feel me. It’s a level of respect and love when it comes to our daughter, you know what I’m saying. All we want is to keep our daughter in a happy spot, in a happy place, and have a good life. Help her do good in school, and we both agree on that, so we do that. That’s it. We don’t talk or nothing like that; if anything, we’ll text, and if we do talk, it’ll be basically about Emani.”

“We’ve been doing the crazy sh*t for 13 years, you know what I’m saying. It’s an end to all the madness right now. Like now, we gotta call it quits for all the angry sh*t ’cause we ain’t angry no more, we happy. I was able to put her on, and for her to be able to explore life and be in the world of fame and getting money on her own without working for somebody, she can work for herself. She can get money on her own, and do whatever she want to do. Nobody going to stop her because God blessed her with that. He blessed me with the vessel to bless her, so she good.”

ON HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH BAMBI:

“It’s surprising ’cause they don’t know my everyday. They don’t know that she was coming up there [rehab] more than

anybody that you had seen on the show. Helping me, getting me the things that I need; like, if I needed deodarant, toothbrush, a comforter, some food, anything – she was there. Money, anything. She was there talking to me everyday on the phone; it was her doing all that. Wasn’t nobody else. So they don’t know that, know what I’m saying. I read a quote today, and it said, ‘real eyes recognize real lies,’ you know what I’m saying, and real things. I have real eyes and real ears. I see real, and I hear real, and I see the fake. I would never bash nobody, but I’ll never give them that credit they think they should have. I would give her [Bambi] that credit because she was there. My mom was there.”

“Shay called me like twice. She called me like twice while I was in there, and that was it. Nobody knows that. And Bam never f*cked with me while I was in my engagement. We was always cool until then; we was always friends until then. We was always friends until then, but it be like that. After one thing was shut down and it was over with…if people want to really just look at everything, I always shut the first thing and then go to the next. But people like to just think I cheated so they can feel sorry for a chick. They won’t have that to do this year. This season, it won’t be nobody to feel sorry for ’cause you won’t see me and the other person on there. You going to see me and my new people on there.”

ON THE NEW SEASON OF LOVE & HIP-HOP ATLANTA:

“You going to see a lot of Bambi, I got my mom on there again, I got my little sister, I got one of my best friends – it’s going down this season man. It’s turned up – it’s already turned up and we ain’t too long ago started feeling. It’s always drama in love and hip-hop. I mean, love, like without the show, love and hip-hop, it’s always going to be drama. It’s always going to be drama; it always was drama before the TV show came out. You put love, and then add hip-hop, it equals drama, you know what I’m saying. Especially in Atlanta.”

ON IF MOMMA DEE HAS A RELATIONSHIP WITH BAMBI:

“My mama has a relationship with me. I don’t let her have relationships with my women no more.”

“Yeah, Bambi definitely met Emani. It works, but we don’t just be…it ain’t no family or nothing like that. It’s just she show love to my daughter, and my daughter show love to her, and we keep it moving.”

ON IF BAMBI IS ‘THE ONE’:

“You never know.”

Scrappy will be releasing two new singles, “They Hate Me” and “Juicy On My Mind”, on December 5.  In addition, season 3 of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” will premiere in January. Scrappy’s new album, Reparations, hits stores Spring 2014. Do the damn thing Scrappy!!!
