Lil Lonnie Killed In Drive By ShootingReports reveal Lonnie Taylor, best known as Lil Lonnie was only 22 years old. He was shot while sitting in his car. Taylor was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

We are sick of reporting up and coming rappers being killed in drive-by shootings. Lil Lonnie deserved to have had a chance, but his chance was ripped away from unnecessary violence.

People close to the situation were asking for prayers and they still are. Unfortunately, Lil Lonnie didn’t make it. The Mississippi rapper died from the injuries he sustained after being shot.

Jackson Police Department reveal:

The shooting happened in the 2300 block of Montebello Drive. The victim has been identified by Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham-Stewart as rapper Lonnie Taylor, aka “Lil Lonnie.” Around 10:30 p.m., officers found a vehicle that had crashed into a residence. The male driver was later pronounced dead at the scene.

A female passenger was not injured. The vehicle had been struck by gunfire as it traveled down Montebello Drive. No suspect or motive is known at time.

Taylor was one of two people who were killed and two people were injured after three separate shooting incidents in Jackson. One of the injured is listed in critical condition.

Before he was gunned down, Lonnie’s last post on Instagram reads:

No going back….you know imma keep it coming.
