CelebNMusic247.com reports that Liam Neeson said in a bizarre new interview that he once walked the streets armed with a club for a week in hopes of killing a black man.
Liam Neeson, the 66-year-old actor was on a revenge mission after a family member told him she was raped by a black male. Neeson opened up about it for the first time while talking to The Independent about his new movie, “Cold Pursuit.”
Liam Neeson was “ashamed of his immediate reaction, but here is what he had to say:
I’m ashamed to say that – and I did it for maybe a week, hoping some [Neeson gestures air quotes with his fingers] ‘black bastard’ would come out of a pub and have a go at me about something, you know? So that I could… (air quotes) “kill him.”
This is NOT something Neeson is proud of admitting, but he thought to tell the story was fitting since it is a similar subject matter of his upcoming film Cold Pursuit.
Looking back 40 years ago at his younger self, Neeson said he’s appalled at his reaction to the crime.
It took me a week, maybe a week and a half, to go through that. She would say, ‘Where are you going?’ and I would say, ‘I’m just going out for a walk.’ You know? ‘What’s wrong?’ ‘No no, nothing’s wrong.’
The action star had a moment of lucidity in his admissions to The Independent saying:
It was horrible, horrible, when I think back, that I did that,” he says. “And I’ve never admitted that, and I’m saying it to a journalist. God forbid.
Neeson makes it clear nothing ever happened and says he learned from his “awful” and “horrible” behavior … revenge isn’t the answer.
