Kurt Cobain Death NOT Reopened

Yesterday it was reported that new evidence was discovered 20 years after the death of Kurt Cobain of Nirvana by the Seattle police dept who allegedly said they were reopenning the investigation.

Today CelebNMusic247.com did finf out that report has been debunked as Nirvana fans are gearing up to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the frontmant of the rockband passing next month.

Although KIRO 7 TV reported Thursday the King County Sheriff’s Office in Seattle has reopened Kurt’s death case, apparently that is NOT the case.

The Seattle Police Department posted the following statement via Twitter:

But authorities did confirm investigators recently took an interest in details surrounding the beloved rock star’s demise.

This is what KIRO 7 TV originally reported yesterday:

Four rolls of 35 mm film taken at the scene of the singer’s death were developed just last month. Law enforcement officials tell KIRO 7 that the images are better than the Polaroids used in the first investigation, almost 20 years ago.

Cobain was found in his home on April 8, 1994 with a gunshot wound to the head. The Nirvana lead singer’s death was ruled a suicide. He had also injected a lethal dose of heroin, according to the coroner’s report.

A rambling suicide note was also found at the scene.
