I Know What You Did Last Summer Getting Remake

Just what we needed, I Know What You Did Last Summer Getting Remake another classic horror film is about to bite the dust instead of a reboot with Jennifer Love Hewitt with an interesting storyline.

The 1997 horror flick based on Lois Duncan’s book not only introduced a generation of teens and tweens it introduced Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze, Jr. who have been happily married since.

The movie also introduced young men to the voluptuous Jennifer Love Hewitt running around terrified while wearing a crop top.

CelebNMusic247.com has the drop on a new generation of up-and-coming actors will soon cover up a vehicular homicide then deal with a fish-hook wielding killer. “Oculus” director Mike Flanagan is teaming up with the film’s original producer Neal Moritz to remake the film, which is a pretty safe bet for Sony since it pulled in $125 million worldwide, and spawned a sequel the following year that feature Brandi and Jack Black Trapped on a island with a killer trying to finish the job.

We hope this reboot will spawn more sequels, because the franchise was very promising, especially with classic horror moments by Sarah Michelle Gellar and Jennifer Love Hewitt.

We just hope the girls who take on the roles can fill the crop tops, and are able to act too. LOL!

We loved “Oculus” for it’s original approach and looking forward to a possible sequel, but the only thing we see is Flanagan may be able to improve a few things. However the original is classic and we would rather see Jennifer Love Hewitt reprise the role 15 years later like Halloween 2.0. Classic horror films need original cast with a sequel that will bring back fans. I Know What You Did Last Summer has a following and a remake might ruin the integrity of the original. – Come on Hollywood do your research and be original with it again. NOT cliche.

Make a third installment and get Hewitt back in the film. She is a talented and that is what made the movie work. 15 years later sound more interesting that a remake.

There us NO WAY to improve the classic nature of the film and any director who thinks they can do it is only fooling themselves. Have we NOT learned from Michael Bay’s A nightmare on Elm Street??? Freddy himself, should have come and shredded the movie before it hit screens with his glove made of knives. The film had two scene that were worth it and that is Kelan Lutz and the drug store scene, the rest of the film was gutter. It was like watching the original all over again but with different actors, oh snap it was that exactly.

Friday The 13th was cool, but it felt like another sequel but with a way better story line, the only difference in the remake is that each of the character were given reason to wonder off vs late night swims in a lake where a know killer hides or late night jogs by abandoned campgrounds. That worked for the 80s because they were a first of their kind, but now audience goers are smart, well kind of smart. And we can take it a step further, remember Prom Night with Jamie Lee Curtis? Now that remake was an improvement to some extent, but it lacked the impact of the kill. What we mean is, back in the day horror films made you nervous, scared and afraid to go in the dark or enter your home alone. These days, remakes and horror films lack the intensity or the scare, the pure adrenaline rush the puts movie goers on the edge of their seats.

Vampires, Zombies and wearwolve movies are awesome but there more for action these days and special effects. Serial Killer movies need to take audiences where they’ve NEVER gone and that doesn’t mean regurgitate what we’ve scene already some simple, something right in all of our faces that will scare the living daylights out of everyone when you think about it. And what makes it better is none of can escape it because we have to live with it on the daily. Come on Sony, We have a horror film for you, take us up on the challenge and we will give you your next franchise of terror. Do you have the balls?

Some franchises NEED Reboots NOT remakes Hollywood will NEVER improve upon its glorious ’90s fashion!!!

We guess this is another secret that will be taken to the grave, Because we know what they did with this franchise, and that’s killed it!
