CelebNMusic247.com reports the “Keeping Up With The Kardashian” star spoke out for the first time following the rapper’s breakdown, taking her social media days after his Twitter rant.

According to Kanye West’s wife Kim Kardashian, she still has his back even though he told the world she “tried to lock me up.”

Kim addressed her fans by taking to her Instagram Story and began her statement.

She writes:

As many of you know, Kanye has bipolar disorder.

Kim discussed how “complicated and painful” it is to watch someone you love struggle with the disorder before admitting that her family is “powerless” right now.

She goes on to say:

I’ve never spoken publicly about how this has affected us at home because I am very protective of our children and Kanye’s right to privacy when it comes to his health. But today, I feel like I should comment on it because of the stigma and misconceptions about mental health.

Kim then touches on the subject of trying to get Kanye West help following his latest episode saying:

The individual themselves have to engage in the process of getting help no matter how hard family and friends try. I understand Kanye is subject to criticism because he is a public figure and his actions at times can cause strong opinions and emotions.

She feels that Ye is “brilliant but complicated,” but he has added stresses besides the spotlight.

Kim explains how it DOES NOT MIX well with fame:

On top of the pressures of being an artist and a black man, who experienced the painful loss of his mother,” she wrote, he “has to deal with the pressure and isolation that is heightened by his bipolar disorder.

She asks everyone to “give us the compassion and empathy that is needed so that we can get through this.”

Kim Kardashian thanked those who have truly shown concern for Kanye West.

We understand where Kim is coming from, but Kanye NEEDS to NOT run for President, he is unstable and if people can’t see that, it’s sad. Ye NEEDS help or he NEEDS to follow his post about sticking to his music.

Kim and her family are not helping him by doing anything. They are just watching him look a fool.
