Actor Jussie Smollett seemingly has moved on from the hit FOX series ‘Empire’.

CelebNMusic247.com has learned that Jussie Smollett as clicked the unfollow button on his former director, Lee Daniels Instagram page.

It appears that Jussie Smollett is distancing himself far, far, far away from Lee Daniels and Empire.

The unfollowing may or may not have to do with Lee Daniels being very vocal in the last few weeks speaking on Smollett’s character being ultimately written out of the show earlier this month.

It was reported earlier this month that Lee Daniels was “Beyond Embarrassed” after supporting Jussie Smollett on social media following the alleged attack.

Despite NOT being 100% convinced the actor faked a hate crime on himself, Daniels is still embarrassed by everything that followed Jussie’s story.

Lee said of his initial reaction:

I’m beyond embarrassed. I think that when it happened, I had a flash of me running from bullies. I had a flash of my whole life, of my childhood, my youth, getting beaten.

As for the rumors that Smollett would be returning to Empire, Lee Daniel SHUT DOWN Variety for posting FAKE NEWS.

Daniels took to Twitter to address a possible Smollett return, he wrote earlier in June:

This is not factual. Jussie will NOT be returning to Empire.

On Monday, police release footage showing the Empire actor with a noose around his neck following the attack. The footage was taken by a body cam of an officer.
