Get more details on Jim Jones signing to Roc Nation…
Capo and Hov finally worked out a hip-hop deal they said would never happen, squashing their nearly 13 year beef. Yeah, one of the longest hip hop feuds.
The “We Fly High” rapper tell us he signed Tuesday with Jay Z and his lieutenants, OG and Ty Ty, to manage all facets of Jim’s brand.
We feel that is exactly what Jim Jones needs, because he was starting to fade away in the hip hop game. His Vamp Life clothing line was doing OK, despite us buying a shirt that was NEVER delivered! What’s up with that Capo?
Anyways, sources say Jim decided to end the feud with Hova to show other rappers it’s possible to cut through the drama. Basically, it’s smart business all the way around.
It’s a pretty sick truce, considering they’ve been at feuding since Jones sided with Cam’ron over Jay in the 2004 break up of Roc-A-Fella Records. But you have to understand why. Jim and Cam’ron are Dipset, it was the right way to go back then. Cam is the founder of Dipset and Jones proved he was and is “his brothers keeper.”
You might recall this hip hop moment in history when Jim repeatedly dissed the Roc and its owner, Jay Z.
Jay played it cool, he kept the beef on wax like a real hip hop OG. He didn’t take it to Twitter like the new gen. Jay and Jim beefed like men, not boys!
These days, an new era begins, because they both Jim and jay are “Flying High” together.
The Roc is becoming a beast and no one is paying any attention to it! Well maybe Puff Daddy.
