It felt like forever, since Regis Philbin left the Live with Regis and Kelly morning show.

Kelly had been looking for the perfect replacement on the daily morning show and now she has found her man. And let us just say what a man she has chosen.

Kelly Ripa’s new morning show co-host is former New York Giants lineman, Michael Strahan.

As of today, Strahan made his official debut on Live with Kelly and Michael on Tuesday morning, confirming rumors that he was tapped to replace Regis Philbin.

Michael Strahan happily said:

“We finally have our new guy. That’s right I said guy,” Ripa said on the show today as she introduced the former NFL all-star. ” It’s an exciting morning.”

“I’m speechless.”

“I adore you. I am so happy to be here and be a part of this. You know how they say it’s a dream come true? I truly can’t say I even dreamed this.”

Strahan replaces Philbin who left the show in November 2011 after 28 years.
