Idris Elba Angers Avengers: Age of Ultron Director

Yesterday Idris Elba revealed that his Thor character will be in Avengers: Age of Ultron but Elba Angers Avengers: Age of Ultron Director with his spoiler Alert!

Has Idris Elba Avengers: Age of Ultron reveal  jeopardize his role in Thor 3?

Earlier in the week Elba, who played Heimdall in 2013’s “Thor,” dropped the news that Thor and Loki have a scene, [which is RUMORED to be a tie-in for Thor: Ragnarok] in an interview with the Telegraph, saying:

“I’m in ‘Avengers…And I’m doing a scene with Chris Hemsworth [who plays Thor] and Tom Hiddleston [Loki], and they’re like, [whispers] – ‘Aren’t you [meant to be] in Ibiza?’”

Unfortunately Idris Elba’s innocent leak about the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron from the Marvel Universe is causing a bit of a backlash with director Joss Whedon.

Joss Whedon has now gone on record of the big budget Marvel movie claiming that he doesn’t really appreciate having the process called “torture” by one of the actors allegedly calling out Idris Elba big time!

Elba reflected to Telegraph on working with Whedon on Thor re-shoots while filming Madella:

At the time Idris said:

“It was really weird. I’d just done eight months in South Africa. I came to England and the day I came back I had to do reshoots on ‘Thor 2.'”

“And in the actual scene my hair was different, my…[deep sigh] I was like, ‘This is torture, man. I don’t want to do this.’ My agent said: ‘You have to, it’s part of the deal.'”

On Tuesday, Whedon weighed in on Idris previous statements to Vulture [Entarz] about the recent comments made by Idris Elba about the process of working on Thor 2 and Avengers: Age of Ultron, the latter being a filmed directed by Whedon.

He said:

“Um, should he receive an email from me, there might be an attitude of scold,”

“When you have a cast of 19,000 people, inevitably, once every month, you pick up [a story] and you’re like, ‘awww’ [about spoilers].”

It appears that the director wasn’t entirely happy with Elba letting out that there was a scene with him, Tom Hiddleston and Chris Hemsworth in the movie because it probably deals directly with a tie-in to Thor 3 and spoils the whole reveal.

But on the other hand, like he said, what can you do when you have a giant cast and people like Elba are constantly fielding questions and being interviewed for things? Marvel is a large company and probably isn’t happy with the comments, but there is only so much you can do.

This isn’t the first time that the studio has gotten mad and re-cast actors for speaking out against the movies they were in so one has to wonder if Elba makes the trip again for Thor 3 or if they decide to go another direction if it is so torturous.

Do you think Idris Elba has just jeopardize his role in Thor 3?

We don’t think any of this should be a problem since Idris Elba and Tom Hiddleston are in the credits on IMDB.com, so it’s public knowledge. There should be no problem.

As for Thor: Ragnarok which is slated for July 28th, 2017 only Hiddleston and Hemsworth are listed in the credits.  So far the plot line is as follows:

Thor must confront the gods to the gods when Asgard is threatened with Ragnarok, the Norse apocalypse.

We will keep you posted…
