Hit-Boy On Issues With Kanye West + GOOD Music!

Kanye West has been calling all artists to unify to get their masters so the artist rightfully owns their masters, but while Ye is asking artists to come together, there are some producers who have issues with him. Joe Budden recently broke down Ye’s contract.

This leads us to producer Hit-Boy who recently opened up about bad recording contracts and his issues with Kanye West. Read on…

I haven’t been a fan of Kanye on a personal/ human level since he told me face to face he stopped picking my beats because I worked with Beyoncé. this is after I produced niggas in paris , clique, and a myriad of other songs / projects for him and his label GOOD Music in the 2 years I was signed with them. This tweet is something I can agree with though. @umpg has held me in what the last 3 lawyers Ive hired have referred to as the “worst publishing contact they’ve ever seen” since I was 19 years old. Im 33 now and have multiple Grammys, produced a lot of your favorite artists biggest songs on top of turning in over 450+ records since I first signed and @umpg still doesnt have it in them to simply be fair. If they’re doing this to me with all I’ve accomplished through hard work I can only imagine the kids who don’t have big placements/ proper guidance. If I have to be the one to get blackballed for telling the truth and trying to set the next generation free then so be it. Btw I produced 10+ joints on the CURRENT number one album in the country D2. @umpg @polowdadon @jodyagerson @iamwalterjones and the company who’s helping me on the management side @rocnation let’s fix this. Slave deals are still very real /rampant in 2020. @universalmusicgroup

CelebnMusic247.com reports that producer Hit-Boy who rose to fame by lacing Jay-Z and Kanye West with “Niggas in Paris” and went on to supply heat to everyone from Beyonce, Drake, Travis Scott, and Ariana Grande.

Hit-Boy has opened up about his contract with Universal which he says that Universal has held him under what his lawyers describe as the “worst publishing contract they’ve ever seen” since he was 19.

But the standout is what he thinks of Kanye West, and that is NOT MUCH!

Hit-Boy revealed this week that he “hasn’t been a fan of Kanye on a personal/human level” since West told him “face to face he stopped picking my beats because I worked with Beyonce.”

If you recall, Hit-Boy beats were practically all you heard on records from Kanye’s GOOD Music label, then in 2013 the union was annulled almost as abruptly as it began with no explanation. Until now.

The final Hit-Boy beat was heard on “Niggas in Paris” in 2011. What he leaves out is that Kanye West began dating Kim Kardashian in 2011 and welcomed a daughter, North West, in June 2013. That is the same time when Ye fell out with Jay-Z and Beyonce because they were NOT fans of his relationship or of Kim.

Let’s NOT forget when Kim shaded Bey and then Beyonce shaded Kim and Kanye’s wedding. Even Jay Z ignored Kim, which hurt Ye. Apparently, Kanye wanted Hit-Boy to choose sides but he did not.

Of course, Hit-Boy, 33, says he “honestly” has “no clue what that stemmed from. I can’t speak on that at all. I just know that for [him] to look me in the face and be like, “Yeah, I’m not taking no beats from you for this project because you worked with Bey.” I’m just like… “Okay, for sure.” – GQ
