EMPIRE Beefs Up Security Following Jussie Smollett Brutal Attack

Earlier this morning we reported that Jussie Smollett was brutally attacked by 2 men who are apparent Trump supporters after they were heard yelling out, “This is MAGA country.”

Since the news broke that Jussie Smollett was brutally attacked and beaten up, “Empire” creator Lee Daniels just expressed his outrage and horror over the attack.

Lee Daniels has taken to social media assuring Jessie to hold his head up because this is just another day in America and we NEED to be better than this.

Lee said this on social media:

We got this @jussiesmollett ?????

CelebNMusic247.com is outraged that 2 men thought they were in the right to attack actor Jussie Smollett, who stars on EMPIRE.

The two men have proved that the attack on Jussie Smollett was a racially motivated hate crime and full punishment once caught is necessary.

TMZ who reported the news first has the latest updates which cops reveal they have obtained surveillance footage from a nearby Target Department Store that shows one person — presumably Jussie — walking down the street.

Law enforcement sources tell us the FBI was already investigating the letter sent to Jussie last week containing racist and homophobic slurs.

Following the breaking news, Fox issued this statement:

We are deeply saddened and outraged to learn that a member of our EMPIRE family, Jussie Smollett, was viciously attacked last night. We send our love to Jussie, who is resilient and strong, and we will work with law enforcement to bring these perpetrators to justice. The entire studio, network, and production stands united in the face of any despicable act of violence and hate — and especially against one of our own.

As for the cast of EMPIRE, they learned about the brutal attack during an emergency meeting Tuesday morning in Chicago to tell everyone what happened to Jussie. We’re told the cast and crew were extremely upset. Several actors were already in their trailers getting ready to shoot when they got the news.

We have also learned that there was a discussion about getting extra security on set while shooting. They have a handful of episodes left to shoot for the current season.

Currently, EMPIRE Beefs Up Security!
