Dope Releases New Red Band Trailer!!!

The New Cult Classic comedy, Dope Releases New Red Band Trailer that follows Malcolm and his friends in the streets of Inglewood.

Atlanta native, Shameik Moore, who was in Joyful Noise, booked his first lead role of Malcolm in the Rick Famuyiwa film “Dope” produced by Forest Whitaker and Nina Yang. The Jamaican descent actor will lead his friends in the coming of age comedy/drama for the post hip hop generation.

Dope is unlike the rest, the Sundance Film Festival favorite is a MUST SEE movie like Sixteen Candles was back in the day.

Dope which stars, Tony Revolori and Kiersey Clemons, Zoe Kravitz, Kimberly Elise and A$AP Rocky was a critical hit with audience goers and will sure to be a ground-breaking new comedy for the new generation coming up.

Here is the synopsis:

A coming of age comedy/drama for the post hip hop generation. Malcolm (Shameik Moore) is a geek, he is carefully surviving life in The Bottoms, a tough neighborhood in Inglewood of Los Angeles while juggling college applications, academic interviews, and the SAT. Malcom must deal with the trials and tribulations gangsters and drugs dealers, while juggling his senior year of college applications, interviews and the SAT.

His dream is to attend Harvard. A chance invitation to a big underground party leads Malcolm and his friends into a, only in Los Angeles, gritty adventure filed with offbeat characters and bad choices. If Malcolm can persevere, he’ll go from being a geek, to being dope, to ultimately being himself.
