DMX’s Attorney Blasts Absurd Robbery Accusation!!!

We previously reported that DMX was allegedly caught up in a gas station stick up in Newark, NJ but now DMX’s Attorney Blasts Absurd Robbery Accusation!!!

We had a strange feeling this was ALL BS when it came on our newsdesk on Monday and now the rapper’s attorney makes it clear that DMX most certainly did not try to rob anybody when he and his entourage stopped for gas off of Highway 21 in Newark, N.J., ollowing a show on Saturday night.

We got the news via  NBC 4, who reported that a 21-year-old man had told police that, at around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, one of the guys who was with a man who identified himself as DMX pulled a gun and demanded he hand over his money.

Now we have the drop for you:

Meanwhile, attorney Murray Richman calls the claim “completely absurd,” telling E! News today that “anyone who believes it makes no sense at all.”

“He was leaving a show, a very successful show, and he stopped for gas,” Richman said. “Four young men approached him for a photo. They took photos and they offered [DMX] drugs. He said no and told them to go…They had an argument and next thing you know, they are accusing him of robbery. Just nonsense.”

After the concert, DMX—whose real name is Earl Simmons—had tweeted, “Jersey!!!!! Thank You!! For real Thank You!!!!!”

The actor and Grammy-nominated hip-hop artist has had well-documented run-ins with the law over the years, copping pleas to crimes such as animal cruelty, drug possession, theft and aggravated assault. He has also spent time in rehab for substance abuse. Lately, however, he seems to just be focused on performing again, tweeting last month that he would be posting all upcoming shows on his Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts—and if you don’t see a show advertised on one of those, it’s a fake show.

Here is a photo from the concert that took place before the false accusations about Earl Simmons:

Next up, a show with The Lox at the Belasco nightclub in L.A. on Wednesday. We can’t wait to hear more bogus stories if the guys from The Lox have to stop for gas.
