Disney Buys Three Parcels of Land Near Disneyland Resort!!!

Disneyland is up to something great since the word has got out that Disneyland has purchased more land in Anaheim.

Change is coming and it looks like it may be to a place far far away, or on the grid or possibly inside a superhero universe.

Which one will be first?

CelebNMusic247.com has this report via the OCRegister that Disneyland Resort recently purchased 1515 and 1585 S. Manchester Ave. for $48 million.

The 158,708-square-foot building on the land will be used for office and warehouse support for the two Anaheim theme parks, hotels and entertainment venues, according to the Anaheim Planning Department.

The property is along the south side of the I-5 freeway, near South Clementine Street.

With RUMORS of a new Tron themed land and Star Wars Theme Park in the midst, we can only image what the imagineers over at Disneyland have cooked up.

Disney continues to reinvent itself every couple years with new rides and lands like Cars, which Luigi

With the merging of Disney, Marvel and Lucasfilm we can only dream of what is to come, since there are additional RUMORS that a Marvel superhero universe is on the horizon for Disneyland and Disney World in the near future.

Star Wars has proven its worth at the park with the successful Star Tours ride, so we would put our money on a Star Wars Theme park being built first. We recently were at Disneyland and noticed that the Innovations attraction was under construction, being converted into Star Wars is what we were told.

What CelebNMusic247.com has heard is that The Walt Disney Co. purchased three parcels of land near its Anaheim resort, causing speculation that the property could be used for a future park expansion.

Here is what we know:

Disneyland officially promised to spend at least $1 billion on new attractions and a parking structure.

Disneyland won’t add a third theme park to its Anaheim outpost anytime soon, the Orange County Register reports. Instead, the new land will be used for office spaces, parking and other infrastructure needs, a Disney rep told the L.A. Times.

Theme park pros speculate that this would free up space in or around the Disneyland and California Adventure parks for new attractions involving “Star Wars” and Marvel comic book characters.

However, ABCNews, Disney’s sister company released this report:

The Walt Disney Co. purchased three parcels of land near its Anaheim resort, causing speculation that the property could be used for a future park expansion.

Disneyland spokesperson Suzi Brown said the company purchased the property adjacent to one of their existing parking lot a little over a year ago.

“With the resort’s continued growth resulting in additional cast members and a record number of guests, this property will help to support additional infrastructure needs, including warehouse and office space and parking,” Brown said.

Disney fans speculate that the property purchase could be used to feature the company’s Marvel or Star Wars characters, which were acquired through purchases of Marvel Entertainment Inc. in 2009 and Lucasfilm in 2012.

Brown did not comment on a possible park expansion. But with changes already being made to Disneyland’s Tomorrowland – we believe that the land that appears to be an out-dated look at the future is getting a much needed facelift, starting with the star attraction, Space Mountain.

Space Mountain will be renamed as Hyper Space Mountain and the theme inside the coaster in the dark will become part of the Star Wars galaxy.

Disneyland released this tidbit on the Disneyland News site:

Season of the Force Coming to Disney Parks — This new seasonal event, beginning early 2016, brings new experiences to both coasts. In Tomorrowland at Disneyland park, guests will explore the Star Wars galaxy with special entertainment throughout the land, themed food locations and more.

Guests also will be thrilled to climb aboard Hyperspace Mountain, a reimagining of the classic Space Mountain attraction, in which guests will join an X-wing Starfighter battle. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, guests will close out weekend nights with a new fireworks spectacular set to the iconic score of the Star Wars movies.
