According to reports, Demi Lovato overdosed on crystal meth.

A source says that Demi’s relapse occurred around the time the singer fired her sober coach earlier this month. A nurse at the hospital told police Demi had been using methamphetamine prior to her overdose on Tuesday.

On July 21st, Lovato posted this on Twitter:

Never been more proud of a song in my life.

Her lyrics for “Sober” was the dead giveaway that she was no longer sober anymore:

I don’t know, I don’t know, I don’t know, I don’t know why
I do it every, every, every time
It’s only when I’m lonely
Sometimes I just wanna cave
And I don’t wanna fight
I try and I try and I try and I try and I try
Just hold me, I’m lonely
Momma, I’m so sorry, I’m not sober anymore
And daddy, please forgive me for the drinks spilled on the floor
To the ones who never left me
We’ve been down this road before
I’m so sorry, I’m not sober anymore…

It appears that she has been seriously struggling with some deep-rooted issues. It is also said that she is home recovering.

Demi’s benefit concert with Jason Mraz at RBC Echo Beach in Toronto, Ontario, Canada has been canceled.

One of her oldest friends mom took to social media to wish Lovato well. The well-wisher was Mandy Teefey, mother of Selena Gomez, who has been friends with Demi since they starred together on Barney and Friends as children.

Mandy writes:

This was exactly 10 yrs ago at S, Sweet 16. @ddlovato we love you. The world is a better place because of these infectious smiles. My heart hurts.
