Deadpool Movie Confirmed For 2016

After years of speculation, Deadpool Movie Confirmed For 2016, but Ryan Reynolds has yet to sign on to the 20th Century Fox film.

CelebNMusic247.com has learned via Collider.com that Deadpool is set to hit theaters in 2016, but Ryan Reynolds has yet to sign on the dotted line!

We haven’t seen a superhero movie release this early since Daredevil in February 14, 2003 followed by Elektra in January 8, 2005. Both films did ok, but the budgets were less than impressive and so were the effects.

This can only mean possibly two things, the studio is going for a more adult take on the superhero genre or they’re NOT putting too much money behind the project.

Although, producer Simon Kinberg had hinted at earlier this year that the Deadpool movie would be leaning towards an R rating.

Kinberg says:

“It makes sense to me.”

“Genuinely it’s early phases, early days, but if you’re gonna do a Deadpool movie, I think you’ve gotta do a hard-R, darker movie and he is the perfect character to do it with.”

It’s unclear whether the film will still be operating within the tight $50 million budget that had previously been linked to the project, while it also remains to be seen whether the draft written by Rhett Rheese and Paul Wernick is still the script that will be used.

What we do know is that Tim Miller is attached to direct, with production likely to start at the beginning of next year.

Time to get excited Deadpool fans.
