A follower quickly replied to Teigen’s post stating the following:

Are you seriously telling her to get educated while your post is completely misinformed? God, people like you kill my soul. Here, I’ll teach you about American immigration so you don’t have to hurt your head: Trump instituted a zero-tolerance policy of criminally prosecuting all individuals who come into contact with the BP – that means they are separating children under the age of 18 from their parents. There’s a huge influx of new people at the border because of this policy that is causing huge downstream operational challenges.

The follower who goes by the handle @heatherstaatsconley continued to say:

Trump has rescinded DACA, prohibiting Dreamers from living and working in the US, as well as resending an ending a temporary protected status program. These two programs accounted for more than 1 million individuals in the US who were living here LEGALLY. You are uninformed, ignorant, and the worst part is you think you aren’t. Oh, and I’m a 12th generation American and a member of the “Daughters of the American Revolution,” in case you want to call me out for being a “snowflake.”
