All day on Monday people have been honoring this rising star the best way they know how, by leaving candles flowers and playing his music. Actor and community activist Andre Davis grew up in the same Far Rockaway neighborhood as Chinx.

– Chinx and his friend tried to go to a hookah lounge in Queens, but it was closed. A surveillance cam chronicled Chinx walking to the door and getting back in his car, via Pix11.
– The two then made their way towards the Briarwood subway station to drop off his friend at 84th & Queens, but they never made it.
– Instead, Chinx’s car was pumped with bullets. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His friend is in critical at Jamaica Queens Hospital in stable condition.
Gregory Carjabal, a fan of Chinx told PIX11 he grew up listening to the rapper.
“He had a great career ahead of him.”
Yesterday we reported that Chinx wife Janilla spoke out about her husband Lionel’s death. Janelli said that she was distraught and had no ideal how to tell her son that daddy is NOT coming home.
