(CelebNMusic247-News) Why Charlie Hunnam Dropped Out of Fifty Shades of Grey!

Sons of Anarchy star, Charlie Hunnam has turned his back on super stardom with ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ claiming he doesn’t have time, but we have the scoop!

After a gruelling array of Hollywood hopefuls, British actor, Charlie Hunnam, 33, landed the prize role to super fame, playing the bondage-loving billionaire Christian Grey in Sam Taylor-Johnson’s upcoming adaptation of the erotic novel Fifty Shades of Grey. The new came at a surprise because he recently gushed about how excited he was to be cast in the blockbuster alongside Dakota Johnson (Melanie Griffin and Don Johnson‘s daughter)

Originally Charlie admitted this when first reading with Dakota:

”As soon as we got in the room and started reading with Dakota, I knew that I definitely wanted to do it, because there was a tangible chemistry between us.”

”It felt kind of exciting and fun and weird and compelling, and so that was it.”

Over the weekend Charlie shocked the entertainment world and turned down the role claiming he is too busy filming ‘Sons of Anarchy’ to ”adequately prepare” for the role.

Universal Studios issued the following statement to Deadline:

The filmmakers of ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ and Charlie Hunnam have agreed to find another male lead given Hunnam’s immersive TV schedule which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey.”

The first film in the trilogy was due to begin filming next month and now the production is upside down without a lead for the Christian Grey.

The Real Reason Why Charlie Hunnam Dropped Out of Fifty Shades of Grey:

Well we have the inside scoop on why Charlie Hunnam dropped out of Fifty Shades of Grey and it NOT because he doesn’t have time!

Words is, Charlie Hunnam doesn’t want to be a super star celebrity, he loves doing Sons of Anarchy. It’s been said that Charlie got cold feet and with the increase of publicity, the press in his face and the overload of fans tuning into everything Charlie Hunnam – he wanted to tune out and turn it back down.

He doesn’t want to be that big of a celebrity, he wants to enjoy his craft and continue to do what he loves to do without all the pressures that come with super stardom.

In Addition, Charlie Hunnam doesn’t want to go down the same career path as Robert Pattinsonwho famously hates all the media attention he’s received for his role in the Twilight franchise.

A source tells People:

“He [Charlie] dropped out of the project because he didn’t want to be typecast.”

“He didn’t want the Robert Pattinson-esque attention that would come along with taking on this role.”

Charlie has a point. Since starring in the Twilight filmsRob has not only received consistent attention from the media regarding both his public and private life, but he is also typically cast in romantic dramas such as Remember Me and Like CrazySounds like Charlie doesn’t want to be reduced to a one-genre actor or receive the excessive scrutiny Rob still deals with daily.

Why Charlie Hunnam Didn’t Work Out As Christian Grey!

Apparently, Charlie was never ready for the celebrity that comes with playing Christian Grey.

A source said on Charlie’s casting:

“Add that with the studio execs being highly disappointed by the reaction to the casting, they wanted to start over with a clean slate.”
