St. Louis native and star of TV Lands The Soul Man Cedric the Entertainer’s Mom Dies Sunday after a long bout with cancer.

Cedric the Entertainer, Mother, Rosetta Kyles lost her battle against cancer.
Rosetta Kyles was at St. Mary’s Health Center in St. Louis, where her name can be seen on a pavilion, thanks to her son.
Cedric was at the Peabody last fall to raise funds for the Rosetta Boyce Kyles Women’s Pavilion at St. Mary’s Health Center.
He said all women can now have the same care his mother received.
Funeral arrangements for Kyles have not yet been announced.
