50 Cent Reflects On Media Made Beef With Kanye

(CelebNMusic247) 50 Cent Reflects On Media Made Beef With Kanye:

Back on Sept 11, in 2007 hip hop superstars 50 Cent and Kanye West engaged in a SoundScan battle with their then-new albumsGraduation by Kanye and 50’s Curtis album.

Now Fif admits the beef was made up and that he had a better feel for the streets then. The alleged beef had high stakes, which claimed if 50 Cent lost to Ye he’d hang his hat and retire. 50 revisited the event in a recent interview.

50 Cent explains:

“At the time, I had a stronger feel for the streets [than Kanye], prior to that competition and trying to compete with each other.”

“That was just to build energy because Kanye [and I]…we didn’t have no beef at all. You can’t stand that close to someone and take pictures for the cover of Rolling Stone with having beef.”

50 Cent added:

“That was something that we created.”

“Obviously, it riled the fans up in every way and the results are always bigger sales than usual. Both of the numbers were bigger than what they would have been [without the competition]. It was just great marketing.”
