C-Murder Ordered To Pay $1.1 Million To Slain Teens Family

CelebNMusic247.com has learned via Billboard that C-Murder is currently serving a life sentence after being found guilty of killing Steve Thomas.

In 2002, MTV reported, C-Murder shot and killed 16-year-old Steve Thomas with a single gunshot to the chest following an argument at the Platinum Club in Harvey, Louisiana, on January 12. About 200 people were in the club at the time of the altercation, and several were eyewitnesses to the shooting.

In 2009, the parents of Steve Thomas let C-Murder have it for killing their only son!

Steve’s his mother, Dolores Thomas told Nola, sobbing and bowing her head as she described the past seven years:

“We still cry every day for our baby.  We never got to see him graduate, go to prom, get married. We won’t have a grandchild to love.”

Steve Thomas was 16 when he was shot to death by rap musician Corey ‘C-Murder’ Miller at a nightclub in Harvey.

“We had to do two things that no parents should have to do. We had to go to the morgue and identify my baby. Next, we had to make a funeral arrangement.”

HotNewHipHop Reports:

The New Orleans Advocate reports Jefferson Parish Judge Glenn Ansardi found Miller liable in a 2013 civil proceeding for the murder. On Wednesday, he ordered C-Murder to pay $500,000 to each of Thomas’ parents and $150,000 to account for the victim’s suffering.

C-Murder has always maintained his innocence in the case, and has still released music during his incarceration.

The only problem is that one of his friends involved in the shooting pointed the finger at C-Murder for taking the life of Steven Thomas over a petty argument.

Back in 2009, HipHopWired reported, Dwayne “Wango” Cobbins was involved with the incident as well. He told prosecutors that he saw C-Murder hit Thomas first but did not see him shoot. After fleeing from the scene he claimed that he heard Juan Flowers say:

“No one could see C. Miller shoot that tiny little gun.”

It was at that moment, that Cobbins realized that C-Murder was the trigger man in the shooting. He figured out that the rapper had a gun hidden in his boot that he used to shoot Thomas. Cobbins later plead guilty to obstruction of justice after threatening a witness in the case.

Murder NEEDS to pay the family for RUINING their lives and leaving them without a son. Killing solves nothing!
