Bishop T.D. Jakes Calls Preachers Of L.A. Junk TV

Well-known preacher Bishop T.D. Jakes is obviously offended by the new reality series Preachers Of L.A. because he is sounding off laying on the slander something serious following the first episode of Oxygen’s new hit series!

According to EEW Magazine, Bishop T.D. Jakes openly spoke out against the show calling it junk. Jakes also addressed the congregation at his ever-popular ‘Potter’s House’ church home in Dallas, TX.

T.D. Jakes says:

“Now, I know you been watching that junk on TV. I want to tell you right now, not one dime of what you’re sowing right now will buy my suit. I want you to know my car is paid for. I want you to know I got my house on my own. I want you to know I’m not bling-blinging. I am not shake and bake. I had money when I came to Dallas and I plan to have some when I leave.”

You did not buy what I got. I had it when I came here. You know I had it when I came here. The devil is a lie! I have sold enough books and produced enough movies. I don’t need your offering to pay for this little slimy suit. So I rebuke that spirit in the name of Jesus Christ.”

Obviously the show struck a nerve with Jakes when the Preachers spoke about money and how each of them pursued their followers to give money to the congregation. The show also revealed that most of the Preachers on the show take that money for themselves to fund their lavish lifestyles.

Now T.D. Jakes is sounding off saying that he is NOT one of those types of Preachers! He’s dubbed the show junk and explains himself in a RANT insisting that the money given to his church from its’ members is used for giving back to the community and not taking or stealing from it to fund his lavish lifestyle.

YIKES!

“The people who have been here a while can go through my track record and prove when I said something, I did it. When we went after something, we bought it. When we wanted the land, we paid for it. When we wanted the school, we built it. When we went after this church we burned the mortgage on this church.

You don’t do that kind of business being shake and bake and slimy and—shut up.

So let the work I’ve done speak for me. You are sowing into good ground. And the 300 families that are employed in this ministry eat from this ministry, work in this ministry, and help us to produce the excellence that we do. The natives all over Kenya drink water because of this ministry. And the hospital in Nairobi survives because of this ministry.”

Could this be Jakes truly upset with the Preachers of the show or the show exploiting the a bit of the truth on where the money really goes and who is living off the people. Preachers, Priests, Bishops are supposed to be men of God. They’re suppose to live a humble life as a vessel for the lord, and man for the people, but driving BMW’s Meceedees and living a lavish lifestyle is not what a  Preachers, Priests or Bishops is supposed to be doing because it shows greed. And greed is what? A sin!

Go figure.

What do you think of T.D. Jakes words and do you watch Preacher of L.A.? It is an eye opener.
