Azealia Banks SLAMS Cardi B For Misrepresenting Black WomenCelebNMusic247.com has the latest from Azealia Banks who weighed in on Cardi B The Breakfast Club.

The controversial rapper took aim at Cardi B in a new interview on The Breakfast Club, voicing her concern that Cardi’s persona was harming the culture.

Azealia Banks explained on the morning radio program:

Two years ago, the conversation surrounding black women’s culture was really reaching an all-time high, and we were really like discussing our power amongst ourselves, and, you know, Beyoncé came out with Lemonade. There was just this really, really, really intelligent conversation going on nationally and then everything just kind of changed and then it was like Cardi B.

Besides Cardi’s spelling be a straight up disaster, Banks goes on to explain why she feels the Bronx native is a caricature of a black woman.

She says:

I’m just talking about this caricature of a black woman that black women themselves would never be able to get away with. Like, if my spelling and grammar was that bad, I’d be canceled. If Nicki Minaj spelled like that, we would be ragging on her all day.

Cardi has become tired of being ragged on social media so she addressed Banks’ interview:

Interestingly enough, Banks was a big fan of the Dominican rapper before her meteoric rise to fame.
