ASAP Rocky Returning to Sweden Months After Conviction

CelebNMusic247.com reports that ASAP Rocky will return to Stockholm “after tremendous support from the Swedish fans.”

ASAP Rocky whose real name is Rakim Mayers is returning for the first time since being detained for one month in Stockholm on a July assault charge. He was released from Swedish custody in early August and found guilty two weeks later.

The artist is due to perform Dec. 11 at Stockholm’s Ericsson Globe Arena.

The “1 Train” emcee, 31, will perform at Stockholm’s Ericsson Globe on Dec. 11 after receiving “tremendous support from the Swedish fans,” the LA Times reports. A portion of the proceeds will go to local charity FARR, the Swedish Network of Refugee Support Groups.

ASAP is putting the past in the past and pushing forward since his fans are NOT the ones that had him arrested. Many of us said ban Sweden from tours but why make hip hop fans pay for the government for arresting him?

Rocky wrote on Instagram at the time:

I am of course disappointed by today’s verdict. I want to say thanks again to all of my fans, friends and everyone who showed me love during this difficult time.

He added:

Imma keep moving forward. Thank you to my team, my management, attorneys, label and everyone who advocated for justice.
