(CelebNMusic247-News) Another Patriots Player Arrested:

New England Patriots cornerback Alfonzo Dennard was arrested early Thursday morning in Lincoln, Neb., on suspicion of driving under the influence, the Omaha World-Herald reported.

Here’s the drop:

Police say Dennard was pulled over around 2 a.m. and cited with suspicion of DUI, refusing a chemical test, and a driving infraction, according to the report.

Dennard was placed on two years probation in March after being convicted for felony assault on a police officer in an April 2012 incident, prior to being drafted by the Patriots. He will also serve a 30-day jail sentence beginning March 1, 2014 for that conviction.

The fight occurred five days before the 2012 NFL draft. Dennard was the 2011 Big Ten defensive back of the year for Nebraska and had been projected to be a second- or third-round pick before his arrest. The Patriots ended up taking Dennard in the seventh round.

In court at his sentencing in March, Dennard apologized to his coaches, supporters, police and his family and promised to abide by the terms of the probation.

It’s unclear how Thursday’s arrest will affect Dennard’s probation status or his delayed jail sentence.

The arrest comes as former teammate Aaron Hernandez faces a murder charge and less than a week after owner Robert Kraft said the team would take a hard look at its vetting process going forward. Hernandez was released by the Patriots two hours after his arrest.
