Do you think Amy Schumer really stole Jokes?

Well that is what a video is claiming and after watching the footage we are a bit miffed!

The Trainwreck star took to social media denying the allegations of joke theft tweeting:

Since Trainwreck theaters, Amy has been in high demand with her foul-mouthed comedy that has fans swarming to see her live. Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo on HBO is one of the funniest live comedy performances in a long time on TV.

We LOVE Amy, but the accusations are rather HARSH!

Did Amy Schumer Steal jokes?

We will put it like this.  Comedy, like acting and the music industry is cut throat. Comedians hear jokes all the time, so we wouldn’t say she jacked her jokes. Yes many jokes are similar to other comedians in the past, but Amy has put her own spin on jokes from the early to mid 2000.

Like an artist or a singer on The Voice who sings a song of someone elses, they have to make it their own.

Amy has made all her jokes her own. Some of the best comedians in the business have jacked jokes from way more talented comedians, but it happens.

It sounds like someone who is NOT a fan of Amy Schumer and who is hating on her success is trying to take her down with a video they posted on vimeo.

Though, Schumer, 34, fervently refuted the claims on Twitter Wednesday, and also defended herself during an appearance on the Jim Norton Advice Show on Sirius XM’s Opie Radio.

Do you agree with the video comparing Schumer’s material to other comedians’ gags.

Amy Schumer is sticking up for herself. And now the ‘Trainwreck’ writer-star and Comedy Central comedian said that she “will literally take a polygraph.”

She told fellow comedian Jim Norton on his SiriusXM advice show Wednesday.

“I’m being accused of stealing jokes and I wanted to come and talk to you about it and clear my name.”

Amy reiterated:

“I’m literally going to take a polygraph test and put it on my show this season, and I promise, whatever the results are — I won’t let them cut — I will show that I had never, never seen Patrice do that bit. I had definitely never seen Tammy Pescatelli do that.”

The Twitter conversation began when Liebman noted apparent similarities between a joke she told in the ’90s and one Schumer used in her HBO special. Pescatelli then jumped in, comparing her joke from a 2006 stand-up special to a line in Trainwreck and a routine by Madigan, where she joked about Oprah Winfrey being so rich that she could hire people to slap food out of her hands and train her while laying down, to the Inside Amy Schumer sketches “Slap Chef” and “Sleep Gym.” Shortly after, a video comparing Schumer’s jokes to those made by other comedians began making the rounds. Liebman later deleted the thread and tweeted, “It’s all good.” – The Hollywood Reported

Wendy Lieberman, one of the comedians that Amy allegedly took from, took to Twitter to weigh in on the Amy Schumer stealing jokes accusation:

Lieberman added:

Listen to the interview between Amy Schumer Defends Herself Against Stealing Jokes on the Jim Norton Show:

We don’t think Amy Schumer stole her jokes. Its very common that jokes are reworked by other comedians.
