Spoilers ahead for Still Flipping Out Season 1, Episode 4, “In Thickness and in Health,” which aired Monday, October 19 on Bravo. Four episodes in, Jeff Lewis is doing what he has always done — turning his own life into the office’s problem — but the fallout from last week’s “Chumped and Dumped” hangs over everything.

The thick era begins
Per Bravo’s episode rundown, Jeff starts a diet with pharmaceutical help — and because his SiriusXM show, Jeff Lewis Live, broadcasts five days a week, the whole endeavor becomes public content in real time. Recaps of the episode lean into the comedy of it: Jeff has declared war on roughly a pound of body fat with the full mobilization of everyone around him, treating a personal health kick like a company-wide emergency. It is the most Jeff Lewis storyline imaginable — vanity, oversharing, and a staff expected to have opinions about all of it.
He also spends like only Jeff Lewis spends: episode recaps note a $3,500 ear piercing for his daughter, Monroe — a number delivered with total Jeff casualness, as if four-figure jewelry for a child is simply what Mondays look like now.
Joey is out — and Crystal is in
The bigger restructuring is professional. After Jeff pushed his friend Joey Zauzig toward consequences for a self-destructive spiral in Episode 3, Episode 4 plays out the aftermath of Joey’s exit — and the swift rise of Crystal Kung Minkoff in the space he vacated. Episode deep-dives report Crystal securing a piece of the skincare economy with a butt-cream business move, the kind of brand deal that used to be Joey’s territory. Whether Joey’s ouster was about behavior or about a friendship pyramid being climbed faster by someone else is the question the episode leaves hanging — and the chumps are already picking sides, with some reportedly refusing to be in the same room as Joey.
A Malibu monster and a condo with strings
On the design side, Bravo’s synopsis puts a major Malibu remodel in front of the Jeff Lewis Design team, described simply as a challenge — which, in Jeff’s world, means the project will generate as much drama as the clients do. Meanwhile, chief of staff Shane Douglas is planning a condo renovation with Jeff, but the arrangement needs buy-in from Shane’s boyfriend, Brogan. A preview clip released ahead of the episode, covered by MemorableTV, shows Brogan pushing back — skeptical about the costs and about what going into a project with Jeff Lewis actually commits you to. As MemorableTV put it, getting Jeff involved in your first condo project is either the best or worst idea you will ever have, depending on your appetite for strong opinions about your fixtures.
Next up: Episode 5, “Totes Inappropes,” airs Monday, October 26 — and per Bravo, a conflict between two staff members drags the whole team into an HR overhaul while Jeff’s construction project is jeopardized by uninvited guests.
The 247 Take — Still Flipping Out works because the renovation was never really the show. The show is an office where the boss’s diet, his daughter’s jewelry, his friendships and his payroll are all the same storyline — and Episode 4 is the week the org chart started moving. Joey’s chair was still warm when Crystal sat down in it, and Jeff announced it all between bites. That is not a workplace. That is a court.
Still Flipping Out airs Mondays at 9/8c on Bravo and streams on Peacock the next day.
